Как уверенно говорить о чувствах на IELTS Speaking (Part 1 и Part 2)

Зачем вообще “говорить о чувствах” на IELTS

В Speaking экзаменатор оценивает не «правильные эмоции», а твои языковые навыки:

  • Range — разнообразие лексики (не только happy/sad)

  • Fluency — умение говорить связно и естественно

  • Coherence — логика: чувство → причина → реакция → результат

  • Pronunciation — особенно интонация и ударение в эмоциональной речи

Если ты умеешь точно и разнообразно описывать эмоции, твоя речь звучит богаче, взрослее и убедительнее — это повышает балл.

Главная формула ответа про чувства (подходит для Part 1 и Part 2)

Используй простую структуру из 4 шагов:

Feeling → Reason → Reaction → Outcome

Пример:

I felt really disappointed because I had worked hard on it.
I went quiet for a while and replayed it in my head, but later it pushed me to improve.

Эта формула делает твой ответ развёрнутым, без «water talk» и пустых слов.

1. Базовая лексика чувств: B2 → C1 → C2

(важно: огорчило = upset/disappointed — часто путают)

Натуральные “реакции тела”

  • My heart was pounding.

  • My hands were shaking.

  • I froze for a second.

7. Сомневался / не был уверен

B2

  • I wasn’t sure.

  • I doubted it.

C1

  • I was hesitant.

  • I had mixed feelings.

  • I was torn between two options.

C2

  • I was conflicted.

  • I was second-guessing myself.

Сильная фраза

  • I wasn’t entirely convinced.

Усилители и смягчители

Усилители (делают эмоцию сильнее)

  • really / genuinely / deeply

  • incredibly / extremely

  • absolutely / totally

  • so + adjective (so relieved, so anxious)

I was deeply disappointed, not just a bit upset.

Смягчители (чтобы звучать естественно, не театрально)

  • a bit / kind of / rather

  • to some extent

  • I guess / I’d say

I was kind of nervous, but it turned out fine.

💡 На C1/C2 особенно важно уметь регулировать эмоцию: не всё “extremely”.

Полезные глаголы вместо “I was…”

Чтобы не повторять только I was happy/sad, используй:

  • I felt…

  • It made me feel…

  • I found it + adjective (I found it exhausting)

  • I ended up feeling…

  • I couldn’t help feeling…

  • It left me feeling…

  • I was filled with… (filled with relief)

  • I was overcome by… (overcome by fear)

Q: How do you feel when you have free time?

B2

I feel happy because I can relax. I usually watch a movie or meet my friends.

C1

I feel genuinely relieved because I can recharge. I usually go for a walk or catch up on sleep.

C2

I feel a strong sense of relief, because my schedule is often packed. I usually do something low-key, like a long walk or reading.

Part 2: как встроить чувства в историю (чтобы повысить band)

В Part 2 эмоции — это “движок” истории. Твой ответ должен звучать как мини-фильм:

Шаблон для Part 2:

  1. Setting — где/когда

  2. Expectation — что ты ожидал(а)

  3. Emotion shift — эмоция изменилась (это важно!)

  4. Reaction — что ты сделал(а)

  5. Reflection — чему научился(лась)

Пример Part 2 (C1/C2), где много эмоций

Cue card (пример):
Describe a time when you felt disappointed.

I’d like to talk about a time I felt really disappointed, and it happened last year when I applied for a course I was genuinely excited about.

I had high expectations because I’d worked hard on the application and I honestly believed I had a strong chance. When I received the rejection email, I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. I was not only disappointed but also a bit embarrassed, because I had already told a few friends about it.

For a day or two I kept replaying it in my head and I was second-guessing myself — I wondered if I had made a mistake or if I simply wasn’t good enough. But after I calmed down, I decided to treat it as feedback rather than failure. I asked for advice, improved my portfolio, and applied again later.

Looking back, I’m actually grateful for that experience. It was frustrating at the time, but it pushed me to grow and become more resilient.

Что тут работает на высокий band:

  • сильные коллокации (sinking feeling, replaying it in my head)

  • эмоция меняется

  • рефлексия и вывод

Частые ошибки русскоговорящих (и как исправить)

1) Неправильно: “I was very bad.”

Правильно:

  • I felt really down.

  • I felt terrible.

  • I felt overwhelmed.

2) Неправильно: “It was bored.”
Правильно:

  • It was boring.
    Пояснение: I was bored — “мне было скучно”, а it was boring — “это было скучно”.

3) Неправильно: “I disappointed.”
Правильно:

  • I was disappointed.

  • I felt disappointed.

4) Неправильно: “I felt myself sad.”
Правильно:

  • I felt sad.

  • I was sad.

5) Неправильно: “I’m depress.”
Правильно:

  • I’m depressed. (прилагательное)
    Но для IELTS часто лучше мягче и естественнее:

  • I felt down.

  • I felt low.

Мини-словарик “эмоции → причина → реакция”

Слова причины:

  • because / since

  • what made it worse was…

  • the main reason was…

  • it happened because…

Реакции:

  • I couldn’t focus

  • I went quiet

  • I needed some time alone

  • I talked it through with someone

  • I slept on it

  • I calmed myself down

  • I took a deep breath

Итог:

  • it made me stronger

  • it changed my perspective

  • I learnt a valuable lesson

  • it motivated me

Быстрые “готовые кусочки” для запоминания

  • I felt a mix of emotions.

  • It really got to me.

  • I was on edge.

  • I was overwhelmed at first.

  • I felt let down.

  • It didn’t live up to my expectations.

  • I ended up feeling relieved.

  • Looking back, I’m glad it happened.
