Gala wrote the song inspired by the philosophy of spiritual freedom — especially the idea that true happiness doesn’t come from wealth, power, or fame, but from inner independence and faith.
The line “Freed from desire, mind and senses purified” echoes Buddhist and Hindu concepts of liberation from material attachments.
Essentially, the song is a 90s anti-materialistic anthem: in the era of disco and glamour, it claimed that a person’s true value lies in their beliefs, not in their wallet or social status.
