Ask for / Wait for / Thank for / Think of/about

1. Ask (somebody) for – просить (кого-нибудь) о

После предлога for ставится то, что необходимо просить.
Например:
You can ask him for money. – Вы можете попросить у него денег.

I ask him for it.

He asks him for it.
She asks him for it.
It asks him for it.

We ask him for it.
You ask him for it.
They ask him for it.

I ask her for it.

He asks her for it.
She asks her for it.
It asks her for it.

We ask her for it.

2. Wait for – ждать

После предлога for ставится то, что необходимо ждать.

Например:
Could you wait for me in the park? – Не могли бы вы подождать меня в парке?

I wait for it.

He waits for it.
She waits for it.
It waits for it.

We wait for it.
You wait for it.
They wait for it.

3. Thank for – благодарить за

После предлога for ставится то, за что нужно поблагодарить.

Например:
I would like to thank you for your help. – Я хотел бы поблагодарить вас за вашу помощь.

I thank for it.

He thanks for it.
She thanks for it.
It thanks for it.

We thank for it.
You thank for it.
They thank for it.

4. Think about/of – думать о

Например:
She always thinks about/of other people. – Она всегда думает о других людях.

I think about it.

He thinks about it.
She thinks about it.
It thinks about it.

We think about it.
You think about it.
They think about it.
